Let's face it, just about anyone who is an undecided voter at this point is... well, not especially bright. ... Obviously from the perspective of predicting election outcomes it's useful to know what these people are thinking.
Fortunately, stupid undecided people are easily influenced by what other people are doing. I know a five year old who, when you ask him which team he wants to win in a football game, asks, "Which one is ahead? That's the one I want to win." Of course, he's really smart for someone in kindergarten. Among stupid undecided voters, Obama will win because Obama is winning. That is, voter reg advantage + volunteer advantage + debate performance + "historic election" narrative = urge to be on the winning side.
