Bullshit. Every break I ever got came from a conservative. They me a job and an education.
The main difference is that conservatives don't think that hand-outs help anybody as much as encouraging responsibility and education, and holding people accountable for their own actions.
COnservatives contribute to charity in greater numbers than Democrats. They just resent being forced to support the favorite causes of the fiscally irresponsible minority.
