Responding to an attack by Franklin Foer, editor of the New Republic, Daily Cause says:
If I'm waging a "war for ideological purity", I'm doing about as good job of it as the New Republic is of running its magazine.
Luckily, I'm not. And TNR has still lost half its circulation in the past six years.
He could have been even crueler just to quote Foer more:
“It just seemed to me, given my own intellectual and moral synergies with Leonard J. Asper, a very good partnership,” he said, referring to the chief executive of CanWest. Mr. Asper was not available for comment yesterday.
What the hell are "intellectual and moral synergies"? They're both smart and moral, but together they're super-duper extra smart and moral?
