I've experienced (just about) all of this curve, but seriously, multiply the number of cups by about 4, and in my experience, you only get to the murder at the end if you keep drinking. Should be to cup 40 or so at that point.
That's actually about right. Of course, while I have excellent work habits on five cups of coffee, I have heard through the grapevine that jurors have not been crazy about me delivering a 20 minute closing argument in 45 seconds.

You think they're listening at that point? Most jurors I've seen have either made up their minds or mastered sleeping with their eyes open by that point. Maybe they're mad you woke them up. Cut out two of every three words from your final draft arg, then speak just audibly enough for the reporter to hear. Or maybe just under that for the "he LOOKS guilty to me" part.
