It's going to be interesting to see the Italian reaction to this.

BBC is reporting that no one in Italy is prepared to be "understanding" about an innocent mistake.

On the other hand, check out Michelle Malkin's reaction; somehow the whole incident confirms how right the right was about Eason Jordan, and did you know that Ms. Sgrena was a well-known anti-war leftie, and no, it doesn't occur to Malkin that insisting on pushing that front and center might tend to raise more questions about why our military was so unaware of her release and the likelihood that she'd be on her way to the Baghdad airport in a hurry, than it does about Sgrena, and the intelligence officer who gave his life protecting her.
