Roy Edroso at alicublog characterizes conservative reaction to Monday's disaster of a press conference:
War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Bush is Churchill. In other news:
"They could still be there. They could be hidden, like the 50 tons of mustard gas in a turkey farm," said Bush, referring to Libya's voluntary disclosure of weapons in March.Fridgemagnet at Light From An Empty Fridge says:The next day, the White House said the accurate figure for the Libyan mustard gas was 23.6 metric tons, or 26 short tons, not 50 tons.
Moreover, the substance was found at different locations across Libya, not at a turkey farm. And observers did not find mustard gas on the farm at all, but rather unfilled chemical munitions, the White House acknowledged.
[I]t wouldn't be a Bush press conference without a misspoken WMD claim. Besides, "like the 23.6 tons of mustard gas not in a turkey farm" doesn't sound very good.
Also, he made another INCREDIBLE gaffe:
"And the CREDIBILITY of the United States is INCREDIBLY important for keeping world peace and freedom."
Too funny.

you'd think team Lying Disaster Monkey would stop doing this sort of thing. certainly now that many appreciate.. they lied, or are at least considering the possibility.
seeing this sort of thing in 'real' time makes it much easier to understand and believe.

Oooh, "team Lying Disaster Monkey." So good ... can I steal it?
They can't stop now because once you lie you have to lie to cover up or justify the lie. I know politicians are all liars at some level, but these people seem to have forgotten how to tell the truth.
