Brian Leiter, in the course of a series of posts on so-called Intelligent Design theory, noted that a number of ID proponents he heard from were Federalist Society members. In response, someone wrote:
"[H]olding the Federalist Society responsible for idiotic design people in its midst is like holding the Democratic Party responsible for Larouchies. More to the point, once someone has bought into theism in the first place, is it really that far a stretch to intelligent design? If someone believes in leprechauns and also thinks that the leprechauns make the marshmallows in Lucky Charms, which is the belief that really requires attention?"No, no. More to the point, who knew there were funny Federalist Society members?
