I've never banned a commenter, unless they were a spammer. And so far, I've done without posting rules, mainly because comments here are as rare as a clean sidewalk in Philadelphia. (I don't take this personally, or see it as an indication of the level of my writing skill. I think it's more a reflection of my writing style - I don't put up "what do you think?" posts, nor are my posts short enough or long enough generally to generate a big reaction.)
However, it's helpful for people to know what is permitted and what is not, so let me lay the ground rules:
1. Abusive language, profanity, insults and personal attacks are all encouraged. This is a blog, not a Victorian-era parlor. If you want to play nice, go back to kindergarten.
2. Brevity will be enforced, unless manifestly inappropriate. Ridiculously long comments will be edited to make the author appear foolish.
3. If you comment, leave an e-mail or blog address to identify yourself. Don't be a coward.
4. No fucking spam. This includes inane comments that are made solely to encourage people to visit your blog.
5. Learn to spell. Repeated misspellings will get your IP whacked with a dictionary.
That's it.
good to see you're back (comments too!).
i'm feelin' it.
