I now have over 100 blogs on my personal favorites list, so reading all that had gotten out of hand. My guru for all things geekish Jamie at Technology blog recommended Newsgator, but my new Dell doesn't have Outlook, plus I wanted something I could read anywhere. Fortuitously, Mac at go fish posted yesterday about Bloglines. It looks like a winner. It was a pain in the ass to load all the links, but once that two-hour process was done, it was great. Small problem: about 1/3 of all my favorite blogs don't have feeds, or I just can't find them. I will have to e-mail 30+ bloggers, but it will be worth it if many of them change.
I also second Mac's request: when you turn on your RSS feed, set it to syndicate the full post. You're not burning that much more bandwidth that way, and sending me a snippet is not going to make it more likely I will click through.
