From the AP: "The toll of U.S. troops killed in postwar Iraq surpassed the number killed in major combat on Tuesday, reaching 139 with the death of a soldier in a roadside bombing." Now 277 families have lost sons and daughters to a war we were lied into.
This neglects the reported 6,113 Iraqi civilian deaths and 20,000 injured so far, and the 2,320 Iraqi military personnel killed in the war around Baghdad alone.
Iraq's population is 24,683,313. In terms of civilian casualties alone, the equivalent would be if someone were to invade the United States, and kill 71,905 people and injure 235,254 because they didn't like George W. Bush. No wonder they love us so much.
I notice we haven't heard much from Ken "Cakewalk" Adelman lately. Richard Perle remains cloaked too.

They will remain out of sight until the next invasion or domestic terrorist attack.

Are you suggesting that we toppled Saddams regime simply because we didn't like him?
