Threat Watch

I spenObama_shirtd a fair amount of my free time out on the street doing voter registration, while wearing an Obama t-shirt. It's pretty clear who I am volunteering for. I notice that the hostility from some white guys is creeping up. Three dudes on South Street during the day on Monday were talking like they wanted to fight me - of course, they liked the odds. And last night outside the Radiohead show someone mentioned getting his shotgun while looking at my shirt. It was just in passing, but it's not something I can just blow off. I have to stay alert. But if someone does decide to take a shot at me for supporting Obama, there is not a whole lot I can do about it. Either they get me or they don't.

In the meantime, I am reserving judgment on the murder of the Arkansas Democratic Party chairman, Bill Gwatney. The killer allegedly said "I lost my job" to a witness immediately after the shooting, which makes it possible that he was just a nutcase loser. Of course, he might have become convinced that he lost his job because of the Democrats' position on immigration or employment discrimination law, so we'll see. The Arkansas cops chased him down and he gave them no choice. Can't say I'm sorry.

Funny how the stoopids are crawling out of the woodwork. Maybe they realize that afterBush will involve pest extermination. They delighted in the idea of diploma mill purchasers being considered the equal of those who attended college. Chortled at the dismay of Civil Service having to place KKKristian skools and homeskoolers on an equivalent basis to academic powerhouses. Now, the hous of cards will fall and BobJones and Pensacola people will once more have to toil in fast food to pay their bills.

FYI, I have your back and will punch anyone dead in the face if they've got a "problem" with your shirt. I'm totally serious.
