Obama to Pick Bayh Tomorrow

It occurred to me that the reason for Obama's $5 million ad buy for the Olympics might be to get a big bounce out of his VP selection. I have been thinking that it would be Tim Kaine, but Michele Grant alerts me that the word is it will be Evan Bayh, and it will be announced tomorrow.

Don't know what I think about it yet. Bayh's a conservative Dem. He lead the cheers for the invasion of Iraq. Cue liberal blogger pissing and moaning.

Hope you're wrong. The progressive arm of the Dems brought him to the dance. He should remember this.

If anyone failed to realize he wasn't a liberal, it's their own fault.

His Wikipedia entry indicates that he voted for the Partial-Birth Abortion Act ("citation needed").

I mean, I hate to be a one-issue voter . . . but I'm kinda a one-issue voter.

Tim Kaine isn't an inspiring choice. He can't lead effectively against the Virginia downstate brigade, and he has no real victories against them.

But I'm thrilled with a DINO like Bayh. *sigh*
